Cable Specification

A high quality foil paired multicore cable. We choose to use foil paired cable to keep the size and weight of these systems to minimum. Each channel has 2 signal cables and a drain wire over laid with a foil wrap for maximum RF rejection. The outer jacket is black flexible pvc.

Fly / Mixer end and Connectors

All connectors used are genuine Neutrik connectors and as an official Neutrik distributor you can be sure they are the real deal. On the fly/mixer end each channel has a plyosil braid covering to dramatically strengthen and prevent fracture.

Each individual channel is clearly identified. We use Neutrik clear plastic rings which sit at the back of the XLR connectors, the benefit of using these is that the number will never fade unlike many systems on the market. Jack plugs use a simple channel marker just behind the connector.

These new multicore stage systems are also fitted with a wire mesh strain relief, to take the pressure off the connectors

Free Standing / Wall Mounted Multicore Stage Systems

The box itself is 16 gauge steel, powder coated black. Each connector on the box is clearly numbered (black on white background). If the box is going to be free standing then it will be fitted with 4 x non slip feet and a rugged firm rubber handle.

The box can also be wall mounted if needed with the cable entering the box on the left or right, or it can go straight out the back if the cable needs to go through a wall.

Drum Mounted Multicore Stage Systems

The actual drums have been professionally designed and manufactured using 18 gauge tubular steel, powder coated in black. Each system comes complete with 4 heavy duty castors (2 lockable to prevent any movement of the drum on stage etc) and also with a brake on the rear of the drum, to lock off the right amount of cable.

To accommodate the number of connectors our drum systems use a detachable box. The detachable box utilises a VDM circular multi-pin connector. We believe the VDM connector is one of the best multi-pin’s in the market, it is precision made and meets the high demands needed for on road/professional use.

The maximum length of cable on the actual drum is 50 metres. You can however have a longer system by increasing the length of the cable from the box to the VDM multi-pin connector (as a standard the cable length from multi-pin to box is set at 1 and half metres).
